A book you don't want to miss!

I am very surprised that there is no comment about this wonderful book on this page! Among the nine of my tarot books, this is the best one. Its value is on Paul's interpretation to the card meanings. Yes, I know many of you hate to memorize a bunch of "meanings", me too! But it is really, really a book that you'll regret if you miss it. Paul breaks the meanings into "general meanings", "meanings of romance", and "meanings of reversed-card". He explains them in a tremendously spiritual, psychological, yet clear and concrete enough manner. He also connects tarot with astology and numerology, which I think are not so good as his psychological analysis of the card itself. After reading and comprehending this book thoroughly, you may have a clear and stable understanding about the cards and the four elements. And again, this understanding is both concrete and spiritual. What this book contains are not just "meanings" you use in a reading, but truly invaluable "lessons" you may benefit from in your life. "Each tarot card is a wise teacher." Paul makes it true. If I were allowed to recommend only one tarot book, this one would be my choice. I could not explain to you how much I get from it. It is not jsut about taort; it talks about lives. There are two things I'd like to let you know before you think of ordering it. First, Paul uses Rider Waite Deck as illustration. I do not sure if his interpretation works for other sort of decks. Second, what I bought is not "this" book. Frankly, I read the Chinese edition. The notions Paul reveals are hard for me to comprehend; most of them are beyond me. I don't know if English edition is easier :} (One of my friends told me that he felt sleepy before he could finish even one page!) Afterall, it is very spiritual and psychological, not as easy as some books which tell you "you'll have good luck on making money." For some people, it takes time (and even makes you "painful") to comprehend Paul's concepts. But it is absolutely worth it!

Well-written, a valuable resource for everyone

I have accumulated several books on tarot and this book is one of my favorites. Paul's writing style is accessible and friendly but it isn't fluffy. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to anyone. If you know someone just starting out with tarot I do believe this would be the best book you could give them even though I would not consider this a "beginner's book." Most tarot books aimed at newbies are too shallow to be of any real use. This is a solid book and I find myself turning to it again and again, even though I have a huge stack of tarot books to choose from. I especially enjoy the stories and anecdotes Paul relates about readings he's done and interesting people he's met over the years. Thanks Paul!

An easy to read guide

This book makes easy work of learning the tarot, as it is filled with stories and examples taken from life. The stories bring each card to life, and they helped me to remember the meanings, which can be hard at first.
By breaking each card into a general meaning, reversed card, relationships and health meaning it simplifies the learning process and makes it easier to use as a reference when giving practice readings.
The Tarot Revealed gave me the confidence to read for friends and family, and eventually for strangers. It is a practical guide to giving clear, realistic readings.
